Back to school

I find joy in these pictures of Calvin heading to his first day of preschool. I planned to snap a photo or two on the morning of his big day, but I just had no idea he'd ham it up so much. He was turning, posing, lifting hats, squealing with delight. Who wants to send that kid to school? Just keep him home and hug him all day instead. I was the only parent present for the show he put on and I kept looking around like "why am I the only one here?" I'm the mom, though, and there's something a bit special about being the only one there to witness your sweet and precious son being a goof.
